Sunday 26th July 2009 sets the benchmark for the best Swap & Cop held in Brisbane city. With the direction of Dj Chris Kelly things started off with a bang with Rola D dropping the hot new new and was set to be a landmark day was swapping and copping.

Article and Pictures after the jump…
With a fantastic location right in the heart of the city and what felt like a beautiful spring day in the middle winter, setup began at 7:00 am and was a monumental task orchestrated fantastically by my good friend Chris Kelly, and what a job he did do.
We had over 50 tables booked with more people come through on the day looking for Swap & Cop real estate, everyone was more that happy to accommodate each other and share tables.
The entertainment line up was crazy thanks to Hans Dc, Rola D, Butters, Dj Chris Kelly, Trill, Planet Fresh Crew and our secret guest Dj Marten Horger all the way from germany and special thanks to James Pan for tearing up the mat!
All the stores put on their finest spread with a boot load of heat kicking up the temperature up even more. Notable tables are the ones by the boys from Gold Coast who brought a massive amount of toys and Jimmy and crew with a massive spread across five tables.
My boy Nelson from Zelus (go holla at him in the city) and his crew hands down had the best display on the day busting out all three Yeezys, both McFlys and crazy amount limited releases, all displayed like real pros, these guys stepped up our look for sure. Also Dean from Fuel-Clothing CO. tricked out his stall with effing Krispy Kreme boxes it was bloody genius..hahah Dunks’N'Donuts.
We had another raffle this year for a $1000 dollar worth of Hype-DC vouchers, custom Nike AirMax 1s and Munney and also a Canvas all by Kid9 of Brisbane. We had a gold coin BBQ on and lots of drinks from the kind people at Nutrient Water to keep our energy levels up and hydrated under the searing heat.
We teamed up with B.Bot Defense System to create a BNE-Bot shirt only 50 examples were produced and most scooped up on the day and a few left are at Laced right now, so don’t sleep drop them a line. I could go on praising the efforts of everyone but hopefully this will someday become a regular event for Brisbane and every city across Australia where people can come together celebrate their own culture and have f***ing good time doing it on the regular.
Shouts to all the stores you can find them on our list please be sure to check out their updates.
We do work!
