We are at it again, past Saturday we hit the Brisbane Vinyl and Record Fair to find gems and with of hope of picking up some bargains, then we attempted to attend Animania 2009, checked out the celebrations at the Brazilian Festival and then more amateur photography Project 4000 style!

Animania – Holiday Inn, Roma St, CBD
The first order for the day was a trip to Animania… Which lasted all of 5 minutes when we realised just how huge the lineup to get in was, and that apparently we were the only people not wearing ridiculous Japanese character themed costumes… Anyway, we’ll have a video upped for you in the very near future to let you see what we’re talking about.
Brisbane Vinyl and Record Fair – West End Club, Vulture St, Brisbane
Next up, we dropped in to a record fair, which although lacking in music that interested us on the main part was full of inspirational artwork. There were many exclamations of “What the fu….”
Big shout out goes to the guy who owned most of the records we ended up taking pics of, a true hustler by any means. He made sure we didn’t walk out of that place without a few sleeves in hand.

Literally the first album we pick up and BAM we’re greeted by Prince’s milky white body…

And then we came across mint soundtracks to all of the Star Wars series!

Hmm… This looks like someone familiar…

What the…

Simply awesome.

And finally…

West End Markets & Brazilian Festival BBQ – West End, Brisbane
As the plan for the day went, after the vinyl fair we would roll into the Brazilian BBQ for some good eats and some big bootied women. Well, as you can see it was anything but Brazilian and the booty was lacking. Basically it was just a beach volleyball tournament organised by beer companies. It gave us a chance to take some pictures though.

Once Taz had taken enough pictures of shiny shirtless men, we realised that we hadn’t eaten since the morning. Poor and sweaty, we were saved by the West End Markets. Whilst many of the stalls had closed down, we managed to get some awesome giant brownies and some mango apple slushies… Just what the doctor ordered.
OM NOM NOM NOM

Brisbane River Festival – Southbank
After having dinner at El Torito (8 chicken tacos, that’s what’s up!) we dropped into the month-long Brisbane river festival to have another shot at making fancy looking photos.

OMG………. what a shit………. shirt HA!

Until next time, goodbye and… get lost.

I know nothing about photography but i’d love to take pics like the ones you took of the ferris wheel. What settings/modes did you take the pics with?
Comment by Rhett September 21, 2009 @ 6:07 pmAll you need is a SLR Camera, we use a Nikon D90 and take a picture with super slow shutter speed, steady hands or a tripod. Right equipment and a bit of luck you can take gorgeous pictures.
