After nearly being bored to death by the immensely overrated Where the Wild Things Are, the most recent field trip into the BNE was salvaged by good food. It seems that nothing matters when you have something tasty to slide down your gullet.
There was also an impromptu visit to the newly opened Culture Kings and catchup with our friends at Apartment. We had a go at snapping some pics at Apartment but weren’t happy with the results so we’ll bring you a proper pile of shots next time we’re around that neck of the woods. Culture Kings on the other hand… we’ll leave you to make up your own minds about why we wont be featuring them on this site.
Food pics ensue after the jump.

If you are unfamiliar with “FEIT” pronounced ‘fight’, is a brand we got introduced through the boys at Apartment, from the very beginning there was something very distinct about this brand from Sydney. From the start their product always came across as almost over engineered sneakers, not in a negative way because you see value in their thought pattern and understand the passion they have for their craft and product.
Things such as the pull tags to keep the tongue in check, the metal lace locks that clamp down on laces they provide which are always perfectly mated to a shoe and the Vibram 3 Piece Sole Unit they use always offers a comfortable fit straight out of the box. These are just some of the things that over time you really appreciate.

We’ve been quite well……quiet lately. Exam season and real work commitments keeps both of us sadly preoccupied pied these days. But finally this past weekend I got a chance to step out of the house for some R and R with the boys and attended a Fight Night in Noosa.
As of recent I have taken an interest in fight sports and my boy pictured above having his first amateur bout and I was ring side to capture every moment even though when he knocked his opononent out I was too busy in celebration and dishging out high fives and fist bumps to capture the moment, but there is some footage i will upload soon. Lots of mean photos after the jump!

My buddy Julien (aka seioz) asked me to be the first in a line of friends to answer a few questions regarding the sneaker scene. J decided to concentrate on the every day sneaker lover, rather than the often interviewed store owners. I’m of course biased to this all because I participated, but this is my blog and good taste be damned! Check it out here

So I had a running post that kept track of this upcoming project. Now SF has decided to release pics and the story behind their roo-skinned shoe via an online feature, so head over there and have a gander.
These should be fairly widely distributed around Australia, so don’t fret petal.
Release is set for December 5.
