Trainers has been holding down streetwear in the Sunshine Coast since it opened last year and now they are taking initiative to give back to people less fortunate with a Charity Shoe Drive. Trainers with the help of other business’s, media and schools will set a benchmark to collect 1000 pairs of shoes.
These shoes with the help of Mission Australia will be distributed to such organizations as Triple Care Frame (Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre for youth), Brighter Futures (a program that provides assistance to disadvantaged families) and Homeless Street Soccer.
The shoe drive will commence on the 15th of January and close on the 1st of April, we hope all you sneaker heads out there will dig deep and contribute some goodies to less fortunate Australians. More information can be found at Trainers Blog.

We have been waiting for this little shindig since we first caught wind of it on the pages of Acclaim, Asia Pacifics own freaking streetwear tradeshow!!! We are hopefully going to make our way down to check this out in person and I am sure every blogger worth their salt will be there to document this momentous event.

Past weekend saw episode 1 of the Adidas Star Wars pack drop at Brisbane’s best sneaker store Laced, and the dark forces were in attendance thanks to the Redback Garrison 501st Legionnaires. This was by far the best sneaker launch event we have attended in Brisbane, the pictures explain it all, fun was had!
Currently the Adidas Superskate Stormtrooper, Micropacer Famous Scenes and ZX 8000 Darth Vader are available from Laced and any good Adidas retailer near you, act quick cause these wont just lounge around.

Today I revisited my favorite book shop Berkelouw Books which happens to be just down the road from me, they specialize in used and old hard to find books. After two hours of trying not to destroy the really delicate books I managed to pick up just a few things that caught my eye. I’m a big nerd as you can tell by my reading material, but its always good to broaden your horizons and everyone can use a little bit more of history and geography.
