It’s all ironic considering I drive an old HiLux yet have such a passion for fine cars. Anyway, that doesn’t matter. Here’s my list of 10 cars that I would love to have in my posession. This isn’t just a list of cars I like, it’s ten cars that given the opportunity, I want to own. Truth be told, if I had to pleasure of owning just one of these I’d be mighty happy. Even the chance to drive one… now I’m getting desperate. Read on!

As I find it harder and harder to get excited about anything newly released that’s clothing/footwear related, I felt it would be cool to start doing themed Top Ten posts. I’ll kick it off with the “Motorsport Series”, with the first entry being on the best championships that I have found from what gets televised here. Hit le jump for the rundown.

We’re not quite dead, just really concentrating on finishing off our respective studies. With only 2 weeks left before I have my study week for final exams I’m sure the blog post rate will increase with a more sedimentary lifestyle. Meanwhile know that we’re trying to get our creative juices flowing to try and knock out something tangible for the 3 people that actually read the blog.
On a follow up note, the Bathurst 1000 was once again a fantastic race. Congratulations to Garth Tander and Will Davison. Although I’m not a particular fan of G.T. it’s nice to see Davison get a win at The Mountain, I’m sure he has big things ahead of him. I was cheering for Jason Richards and (one of my favourite drivers) Cameron McConville who made a real charge for the lead HRT car after being released from behind the Kelly Racing Jack Daniel’s Commodore. Commiserations to Triple 8’s Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup, they looked set to take a record 4th win straight for a while but clutch problems really put a stop to that run. Roll on next round at the Gold Coast! (A field trip may be in order)
In the mean time you can waste countless hours by reading Eye On Springfield.

In 2003 Greg Murphy annihilated the lap record around Bathurst in the Top 10 Shootout. With the cars hitting the track for first practice today I though I would share this brilliant video with you before the competition heats up. Tomorrow Channel 7 will televise qualifying, whilst Saturday is the Top 10 ahead of Sunday’s race.

Next week, from October 8-11 the V8 Supercars thunder back to the home of Australian motorsport; Mt Panorama, Bathurst. As always Ch.7 will be broadcasting the coverage (I still wish ONE HD would get the rights to the V8SC)
I don’t care what anyone says, some of my earliest memories are from watching this race and I still think it’s one of the best races going around. For my money it’s the best touring car race in the world, and the track is on par with La Sarthe and Spa Francorchamps. I watch my fair share of racing series from all parts of the globe, but nothing gets me more hyped than when it gets close to October.
If you don’t even know what the hell I’m talking about, I’ve left a really good video from a few years ago after the jump. It still gives me goosebumps watching it now.
For more info on the series check V8supercars
In other racing news, this weekend we have Formula 1 from Suzuka (back after a few years) and NASCAR in Kansas. I’ll be cheering on Mark Webber and Marcos Ambrose in their respective races.
Go you good thing!

First off, we know we’ve been a bit slack this last week or so with the posting. Both of us have been pretty busy with our lives outside the realm of P4 (hard to believe).
Anyway, this past Sunday we rolled into the Noosa Classic Car Show and were thoroughly impressed. Somebody proclaimed it to be “Australia’s answer to Pebble Beach”. Whilst this is an unfair comparison for both parties involved, there were some great automotive masterpieces on display (and some not-so-great). Unfortunately the dust whipped up by strong winds meant that most of these classics were covered in a thin film of dust.
We realise that simple shots of cars can be pretty damn boring so we tried to give you a taste of the event from a more interesting perspective. Hit the jump to see what we came up with.
